Hubby & I are going to Norway at the weekend to visit our lovely friends. May Britt is taking me to her local craft shop so I am really looking forward to having a spending spree.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. I originally bought this stamp with my sister in law in mind as she is from Hong Kong the perfect stamp for her. At the weekend I bought Papermania Summer Bloom paper pad in a sale and thought this particular paper complimented Tilda.

I haven't added too may embellishments as the paper is just so pretty shame to cover it up.

Hello All,

Hope you have been making the most of the last day of the Christmas break. I have enjoyed Christmas but I have to say that I am looking forward to going back to work and life returning to normal.

I have used one of the gorgeous Gorjuss girl stamps, just love these stamps. This card has been a real labour of love didn't matter what I did I wasn't happy with the way it looked.

Over the long Christmas holiday we decided to give our bathroom a new look, really pleased with how it has turned out.

Sorry for the long absence but things have not been so great for me and unfortunately I have not felt like crafting . Tragically my Uncle was killed in a car crash and this has been a terrible shock to me.

As soon as I saw this Japanese Tilda stamp I knew I had to buy it and make a birthday card for my sister-in-law Dorothy who is 1/2 Japanese & 1/2 Chinese. The designer papers are also by Magnolia and are so pretty, love the colours.

I have used my copic pens to colour the image, my first attempt went in the bin as I used bright colours but it just didn't suit so I decided to use pastel colours and now I am pleased with the result.

This weeks theme over at Just Magnolia is "Vintage" I love this style & so I decided to enter this card I made this afternoon. I have used a couple of the Magnolia images from their Summer kit club which I just adore. The papers are also by Magnolia, other bits & bobs are from my stash.

The image has been coloured using Copic pens but I have started to try colouring using distress inks and I like the vintage feels it gives an image.

I have my best friend Jane visiting for the day tomorrow. She is fairly new to card making and so we are hoping to spend some time in my craft room.

Two posts on one day! Can you tell I'm on holiday? As soon as I saw this cute LOTV image I had to buy it. I decided to have a try at using distress inks to colour this image and I am really pleased with the results, I need more colours now!

My new Magnolia Doohickeys swirl & leaf die arrived in this mornings post so I quickly cut the swirl on my Cuttlebug and added it to this card which will be sent to my youngest nephew Kieran who lives in Australia.

Wild Orchid Challenge

The second challenge over at Wild Orchid Crafts is "Lovely Lace". I have used a deep lace as I thought it resembled shells perfect for my Mermaid card.

The super cute Tilda stamp is from the new Magnolia stamp kit which is just fabulous the best one to date in my opinion. I used Copics to colour the image and then added Stickles Stardust to add a bit of dimension to the image.

I'm really pleased with how this card has turned out.

Wild Orchid have their 1st challenge which is "Say it with flowers" very easy! Of course I have used some beautiful roses from Wild Orchid but you don't have to use their flowers to enter.

I have tried to get a vintage feel to my card by sewing the edges of my papers and adding ink to my Whiff of Joy image.

The colour for this weeks challenge over at Colour Create is soft green & light aqua. The green is not showing up too well on my photo probably because it is so bright outside.

Poppy's 13th Birthday

My beautiful daughter Poppy is going to be a teenager on 5th May. I just can't believe how quickly the past 13 years have gone. Poppy isn't into cute and so this image by Mo Manning is just perfect.

The designer paper is by Magnolia and the scull and hinges are Tim Holtz grungeboard which I have painted with pewter distress crackle paint.

I'm pleased with how this card has turned out and I just hope that Poppy likes it.

Two cards in two days! My lovely friend May Britt bought me this beautiful stamp called Maribel by Stempelglede as a gift and I just couldn't wait to ink her up. I have used a shiny card and Archival ink to ensure a crisp image as the stamp is quite detailed.

The other stamp is a beautiful saying called "The beauty of friendship" by Hero Arts which I bought from Sirstampalot on Saturday whilst with May Britt on our big spending spree. The papers are K&Co, other bits & bobs are from my stash.

I really enjoyed last weeks challenge over at Create4fun so much that I decided to enter this weeks challenge too. Tanja has created a fabulous sketch to follow and one I will use again.

My image is from the CC Designs Spring kit which I received this week. The designer paper is called Early Bird by Cosmo Cricket which are my favourite at the moment just love the bright colours. I have used my Copic pens to colour the image, sentiment is by Stamping Up and brads from my stash.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend. Ours has been frustrating, yesterday our new bed wouldn't fit up the stairs and so we had to take off the door frame to get into our bedroom and today our new washing machine arrived only to find it it faulty and now needs to be exchanged.

Hanging treat Box

I've made this hanging treat box for a good friend of ours who loves his cooking. It was really quick & easy to make and a great gift idea. The idea is not mine, I found the tutorial on a blog I was browsing a while ago. I used my Scor-Pal which made the job very easy.

This weeks challenge over at A Spoon Full Of Sugar is "freestyle"

For my card I have used another of my new CC Design stamps called Swiss Pixie Birgitta. I'm really loving these stamps at the moment and have just ordered some more. The designer paper is Eva by Basic Grey. When I make a card I normally make the base card and then colour the image to match the dp, I didn't with this one but I do think the papers blend quite well with the image.

Good Evening, hope everyone has had a good weekend. Today, we've been to Ikea to buy another storage unit for my craftroom and of course Swedish meatballs!

For my card I have followed the sketch over at Sketch Saturday I love this sketch and will be definitely be using it again.

I am ashamed to say that I have had this image by Magnolia since last March and I've never inked it up. Edwin looks so dapper in his morning suit don't you think?

The designer paper is called Boxer by Basic Grey I found it at the bottom of my paper drawer last weekend. I just love it when you find papers that you had forgotten you had its almost as exciting as buying new stash lol.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

The challenge over at A Spoon Full Of Sugar this week is layering which my card has several of although some are hidden by my image.

This is the first time I have been brave enough a use a digital image and I choose one from Mo's Digital Pencil called Shy Valentine James. I was so pleased at how easy it was to use a digital image, I had visions of the ink smudging but it was perfect. I think I have been converted!

Shy James has been coloured using Copics and the designer paper is Bitter Sweet by Basic grey just perfect for Valentine cards.

Double Dutch Challenge

This is my first ever entry for the Double Dutch challenge following a fabulous sketch. I have used one of my oldest but well used Magnolia stamps, it's great for those difficult men cards.

The papers are by Basic Grey Archaci I always reach for this paper pad when making cards for men. I have used a combination of Promarkers and Copic pens to colour the image.

I hope everyone is keeping warm, we keep having snow showers in Northamptonshire but I think we have got off lightly compared to some places in the UK.

We've got an eighteenth birthday party to attend tonight but luckily it is in walking distance.

I told you I was "in love" with My Mind's Eye papers , just can't stop using them. I was going to enter this card into a challenge but I've missed the deadline not a promising start one of my new year resolutions " enter more challenges".

Some Thing Different

I don't know about you but I am so glad to make some thing other than a Christmas card. This is for Roger's niece who's birthday is on 30th. I have used one of the new Magnolia winter kit stamps and coloured it using Copics.

The designer paper is My Minds Eye and I bought whilst visiting May Britt in Norway, it's taken me since May to be brave enough to cut it.

I have used two different sizes of retro flower punches and spritzed them with sparkle and added a small rose in the centre.

This weekend we are off to North Yorkshire for a family get together so I really hope that we don't have too much of the white stuff.

Gift Box

I've been busy making gift boxes for birthday and Christmas presents. This box is for Roger's Niece Deborah who's birthday is a few days before Christmas. We have bought her a lovely purple and silver bracelet hence the colour theme for the box.

I saw the idea for these boxes on Tab's fabulous blog, thanks for the idea hun! The image is a Whiff of Joy and I have coloured her using Copic pens. The top & base of the card was cut on my Cricut, so easy.

Magnolia Father Christmas

My First Easel Card

This is my first attempt at an easel card and boy did I enjoy making it. I thought it was going to be difficult but was surprised at how easy it actually was. The hardest part was getting a decent photo, I had to stand on a chair and of course Roger just had to walk into the room at that moment lol.

The image is from an old Magnolia kit from a couple of Summers ago and I've used my copic to colour the image. The design papers are from my stash and I've thrown away the packaging so I can't remember the name.

Whilst browsing Caz's wonderful blog I came across a challenge blog called Crafty Angels
Their challenge this week is a colour challenge of blue,red & white and so I took myself off to my craft room and made the above card.

I have used my Tilda & Edwin ice skating stamp again! I just love this stamp. The design paper is by Kars and I decided to use my sewing machine to stitch the papers. I have seen several ladies use this technique and thought I'd have a go and I love it, so effective.

Colour Create

Over at Colour create they would like you to use the colours blue,silver & white with the optional extra theme of winter & glitter. My card fits this challenge perfectly. There is glitter on the design paper but it's not showing up too well on the photo.

This has to be my all time favourite couple stamp by Magnolia. You will be seeing me using this stamp a lot for my family Christmas cards this year.

I've had at the NEC. I bumped into some of my blogging buddies Tab, Kim, Bev, Jacqui, Rach, her daughter Holly, Marcea, Marlene & Caz. It was wonderful to put faces to names, you are all so talented and an inspiration.

Well, I managed to spend all the cash I took with me and more lol! but in my defence the Bind It All is part of my Christmas present from Roger.

When I arrived home Roger had cooked tea and even had a glass of rose wine poured for me, the perfect end to a perfect day.

Over at A Spoon Full Of Sugar there is a fabulous sketch by Debbie and here is my entry. I haven't add much in the way of embellishments because the designer paper is quite busy and the image is on the large size, keep it simple.

Hanglar Pink Ribbon

Over at Hanglar they are supporting breast cancer awareness month. There is a wonderful sketch to follow and they are asking for you to put a pink ribbon on your card. I think my pink ribbon is slightly on the big side lol!

This card is a little busy and I'm not sure if I really like it. The stamp is a Hanglar from a previous club kit and I've used my pro-markers & copics to colour the image. My friend May Britt sent me a goody bag and in it was the doyley and the ribbon I have used on this card. The flowers were in the sale bin at my local craft shop so a real bargain!

I was determined to have make it into my craft room again this afternoon and made this card following a wonderful sketch on the Papertake Weekly challenge. I rotated the ribbon to enable me to get all the elements onto my card.

In a few weeks time my Sister In Law Linda & her husband Richard are celebrating their pearl wedding anniversary.

Her 13 year old neighbour Paige has recently been involved in a terrible boating accident and has had to have part of her arm amputated. I was telling my daughter Poppy age 12 all about Paige's accident and she said that she would love to make a card for Paige. So off she went to the craft room and made a panda her first ever attempt at a tear bear. I think she has done a grand job! For my card I used a sweet image by Greeting Farm Factory.

A modern style Christmas card for one of my hubby's nieces using Snow Anya. I am a big fan of these stamps because they are so cute & easy to colour.

I couldn't make up my mind which sketch to follow so I made up my own and I think it works well with this card. The design papers are from last years Christmas stack by DCWV. I have used tulle to make a bow and then threaded a snowflake charm using a jump ring.

The sentiment "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" is from Elyzbell.

I made this card following the sketch on Papertake Weekly but left it too late to enter, I seem to do this a lot!

The image is Edwin by Magnolia from their Fall kit which arrived on my doormat yesterday. My husband Roger really enjoys cooking and as it's his birthday next month I thought this image was perfect for him.

We're Back......

from our holiday in Somerset. We had a fabulous time and visited lots of interesting places Wookey Hole, Clovelly, Dunster Castle & travelled on the East Somerset Railway. The weather was very kind and we only had one day of rain. Our accommodation was amazing and the setting just outstanding I would strongly recommend it if you like quaint & peaceful.
