Saturday Challenge

Something different from me, a card without a stamped image. This cute owl was made by my lovely friend May Britt, isn't he fabulous?
I followed the sketch by Sue from Saturday Challenge for this card and I think it works well with the Basic Grey papers and of course "Tweet" the owl.
I also need to say a big thank you to Jo, Mar & Sandra for the awards you have given to me. It means so such to receive these from such talented ladies who's work I admire so much.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

This week on Papertake Weekly Dawny has created a fabulous sketch to follow. I've used a cute image given to me by May Britt which I've coloured using my Pro-markers.

The butterfly charm was also a gift from May Britt and goes well with the theme of this card. The ribbon and other bits are from my stash.

House Mouse Challenge

I've recently purchased 4 House Mouse stamps and this now means I can enter the weekly challenges. This week we have been asked to use polka dots which is a great because I'm a big fan of polka dots.

My polka dot paper is a download from www.pinkpetticoat.co.uk , I've used my Pro-markers to colour the image and the flower & photo corners are punches.

Friday Sketchers

This week on Friday Sketchers it was the turn of Beatrix from Germany to design the sketch. The sketch is quite large and therefore I made an C5 card to accommodate all the elements.
I've used my new House Mouse stamp, I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. Not sure if it shows up that well in the photo but I've used glossy accents on icing in an attempt to make it shine.

May Britt's Visit

We had a lovely weekend with our friends May Britt & Erik who are from Norway. Us ladies went to the Hobbycraft show at the NEC whilst the men went to the Classic car show.

May Britt bought some lovely stamps plus lots of other goodies, things that she can't buy in Norway. She really enjoyed the show.

The weekend went so quickly but we are looking forward to next year when Roger & I are going to visit them in Norway.

Challenge 6 is a great sketch by Wendy and here is my entry. I have used a very cute Penny Black stamp, along with mirri card which does not show up very well on this scanned photo.

Magnolia Vs Stampavie

There is a new challenge blog combining Magnolia & Stampavie stamps and the challenge for week 1 is to use a fabulous sketch by Jayjay. This is my interpretation.
This card is for my work colleague John who is leaving to be become a manager of a bar in Leicester.
I've used my Cricut Expression to cut the semi-circle and stars. The design papers are by Basic Grey and of course the stamp is bar-tender Edwin now known as John!

A Firm Favourite

When ever I have to make a card for a boy I always seem to use this stamp and this sketch which is from a challenge a few weeks ago but I can't remember which one.
The design paper I've used is by Basic Grey with an image from Hanglar. It's a quick card but I think very effective.

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

Oh dear! I've made this card for the challenge on Secret Crafter following a fabulous sketch by Jill only to realise now that I should have used brown, white & pink.
The snow effect was a happy accident, I originally planned to use my Swiss dots on the blue circle but I think it looks good.
Don't think it's my day!
