Friday Sketchers

Here is my entry for Friday Sketchers. Jacqueline from The Netherlands designed this weeks sketch and I have to say that I found it quite difficult but I'm pleased with the end result.
I used a very cute House Mouse image for this card along with the Daisyd's papers.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

Not really too sure about this card perhaps because it's different from my usual style. This is my entry for the challenge on A Spoon Full Of Sugar ~ sparkle, I've used my sukura glitter pen for the wings but I've just noticed that I've forgotten to add stickles to the hats, I'll make sure I add it later.

The snowflake has been cut using my Cricut Expression, this machine makes cutting shapes so easy.

Thanks for looking
I've now added the stickles to the hat

Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

I've just discovered a new challenge site called Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge and here is my entry for challenge #4. I really enjoyed this sketch.
I have not been very happy with the quality of my photos recently and the lovely Nikki suggested that I scan my cards instead. I still need a bit of practise but I have to admit it's a lot quicker than using my camera.

And Other.....Sketch Saturday

I enjoyed the sketch on Sketch Saturday that I used it again to make this card for my dh niece. The photo is a bit blurred because it's dark outside and I was trying not to a get a shadow.
The stamp is another from the Hanglar club kit and I've added stickles for the fur on the hat and cuffs.

Recently life has been so hectic and I kinda lost my mojo for a few weeks but I am glad to say that it has returned, hooray!
Here is my entry for the challenge on Sketch Saturday . Really like this sketch gave me the chance to use my Cricut Expression to cut my circles.
The papers I bought this morning and they are called For Him by Papermania. I am always on the look out for papers that are suitable for boys/men's cards.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

Here is my entry for the Spoon Full Of Sugar challenge "Halloween". I have used a very cute Hanglar stamp. I love Halloween not sure why. I am looking forward to decorating our house with a pumpkin and candles.

I have used my Marth Stewart pumpkin border punch which I ordered from the US. The sketch is by Tiets.

The images I've used for this wedding anniversary card are from the Spring/Summer club kit by Hanglar.
I've cut a circle out on my Cricut Expression and then used a cuttlebug folder to then emboss the circle. I really quite like this card.

Birthday Wishes

The photo is out of focus not sure why or maybe it's my eyes! The cute stamp is another Hanglar from their Autumn kit club sent to my by lovely friend May Britt. The papers are a free download.
Today is Roger's 50th birthday. We celebrated with a party at home with family on Saturday, it was good fun to have everyone together if not a little noisy for our neighbours!
Roger & I went out for lunch which was lovely and tonight we are going to open a bottle of champagne.

Rock N Roll Edwin....

well that's what I call him!
I've made this card for a work colleague. They say at work that it seems unfair because I always make handmade cards for work colleagues birthdays but when it comes to mine they always have to buy one for me from the card shop. I don't mind it's the thought that counts.
Don't think I'll have much time to make cards or blog until early next week as it's Roger's big 50 and I've a party to organise.
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend

Hanglar Christmas

My very good friend May Britt managed to get me this Hanglar stamp. I love it! Great for cards for couples. Beads & charms feature alot on the cards made by the Dutch ladies and I think they add a little something special and so I've stock up.

Bad Blogger

I can't believe how long it has been since I've last made a post on my blog. There are several reasons, Poppy had a mishap with the camera's memory card and we had to order a new one. Also we've been busy with getting our house straight after having our new kitchen fitted. Next weekend we are having a 50th birthday party for Roger at home and so that's also taking time to organise everything.

Anyway, I've made a bag from an envelope. I found the instructions on one of the American sites, sorry can't remember which one. This was such good fun to make, I really like Halloween don't know why but I do.

Thanks for looking will be back later with another post.
