I've decided to make cookies and give as Christmas presents this year. I bought this box from Hobbycraft and covered and decorated it. I'm pleased with it for a first attempt.
This is also my entry to Kerry's blog candy give away. Kerry has had 10,000 hits on her blog , she is one very talented lady. Kerry is a fan of ribbon so you could make any crafty project so long as it has some ribbon on it. I have used ribbon to trim the lid of my box. Here is the link to Kerry's blog
This also qualifies for the challenge on My Time To craft. This week there was a recipe you had to follow :- 1 ribbon, 1 flower, 2 buttons & some glitter. I have two flowers on my box so hopefully it will still qualify. http://mytimetocraftchallenge.blogspot.com/
This card is my DH's Brother-In-Law who is keen on sport. I used the masking technique to get Edwin to sit on the bench. This is quite a plain card for me but the paper is busy so I decided less is more in this case.
Poppy is starting secondary school in September and so when I saw this new stamp by Magnolia I knew I had to have it. I am entering this card into the Cute Card Thursday challenge which is make a card with bright colours.
This is my entry for A Spoon Full Of Sugar Challenge following a great sketch by Debbie. I thought I'd make my DH a card for his 50th birthday. This is a great sketch and one I shall use again.
I've not had much chance to be creative as we are currently having a new kitchen fitted by my Dad and everything is in turmoil. We currently do not have a kitchen ceiling and to top it off our oven has given up the ghost, it could at least have waited until our new one arrives next week!
My DH is 50 in October and this is the card I have made for DD to give to him. In this youth he was a keen fisherman and so when I received this image in a swap I knew I would keep to make him a special card.
I've won another award, yippee! The very talented Teresa has given me this award. I so love visiting her blog http://tcake.blogspot.com/ I've even made some muffins from one of her recipes and they were yummy!
The rules :-
1. The winner can put the logo on her blog 2. Link the person you received the award from 3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs 4. Put links of those blogs on yours 5. Leave a message on the girls blogs you have nominated
I'm really getting a head start on my Christmas cards this year. I received this image in a swap and think it is so cute. I've coloured the image using my Pro-markers, the papers are from DCVW and I picked them up at a reduced price because they are last years design.
I have decided to enter this card into two challenges this week as the theme is "Christmas"
It's very quiet in our house at the moment as Poppy is currently on holiday with her Dad. I am missing her like crazy and looking forward to her return next friday. Roger & I are going to Cambridge for the day on Saturday and having lunch at Cafe Rouge to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary.
After seeing Caz's card http://aloadofoldblogocks.blogspot.com/ I was in keen to buy myself some Pro-Markers,in fact I bought 3 sets, very naughty I know. Anyway, this is my first card coloured in with my new markers. They are very quick & easy to use.
The beads are one of the very first items I bought when I started making cards and I found them at the back of my cupboard, I think they look great on this card.
I am also entering this card into the challenge on A Spoon Full Of Sugar - recycle - as the spotted paper I've used is an off cut from a previous card and was just sitting in my scrap box. I hope it qualifies.
I nearly forgot to say that the layout for this card is by the wonderfully talented Tiets.
No cards this weekend because I thought I'd better make another page for Poppy's scrapbook before I get to behind with it.
Poppy went on a school residential holiday to Paris with a day trip to Euro-Disney, the highlight according to Poppy even though she has been four time previously.I think it is because she went with her friends rather than boring old Mum & Dad, hehe. The photo's she took on a disposable camera. I'm pleased with how this page turned out, I'm quite getting into scrap booking.
to the Papertake weekly challenge, the theme is Christmas. The flower I have used on this card came from my new Rigby & Peller bra hehe. I don't know why there was such a huge flower on the bra in the first place so I cut it off, I think it looks ok on this card. Thanks for looking
