Hanglar Card

I've made this book for my Mother In Law for her birthday. The idea came from my lovely friend May Britt who sent me a fabulous Christmas card using this template. I loved it so much that I decided to make one too. The principle is that you have 4 large (10" diameter) circles, fold, decorate and stick together, it is easier than it looks. This card took me several evenings to complete but well worth it.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge

This week on Cute Card Thursday the challenge is to use your punches, as I've used my Martha Stewart border punch I thought I'd enter this card.

After making my Husband's Christmas card with the Xmas Messy rabbit I just had to order this little cutie. This stamp is so versatile and can also be used for Easter cards as well Mother's day and birthdays. I can see me buying more Messy rabbit stamps, lol!

The pretty papers are by K&Co and the border is a Martha Stewart border punch, flowers from stash.

Have a good Sunday and thanks for looking

House Mouse

I have now made all my Christmas cards and so
I'm being super organised and have started making my birthday cards for next year. My MIL's birthday is at the beginning of Feb and so this card is for her.
The image is just so cute, I love House Mouse and they are great to colour in. The sentiment was a freebie with a magazine and just perfect for this card.
The ribbon is from Marlene's ribbon share and I've used my Martha Stewart border punch.

Christmas Gifts

I've been busy making 7 of these gift sets for Poppy to give to her school friends. The idea came from the very talented Caz . They are really quick and cheap total cost 30p each, the set contains a notepad which I've covered and mounted a stamp image onto, gel pen, rubber & binder clip. Hope her friends like them.

How is everyone's Christmas preparations going? I've now finished, everything is wrapped and the cards have gone in the post, so now I have some time to craft.

Something different from me, a card without a stamped image. This cute owl was made by my lovely friend May Britt, isn't he fabulous?

I also need to say a big thank you to Jo, Mar & Sandra for the awards you have given to me. It means so such to receive these from such talented ladies who's work I admire so much.

Friday Sketchers

This week on Friday Sketchers it was the turn of Beatrix from Germany to design the sketch. The sketch is quite large and therefore I made an C5 card to accommodate all the elements.
I've used my new House Mouse stamp, I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it. Not sure if it shows up that well in the photo but I've used glossy accents on icing in an attempt to make it shine.

We had a lovely weekend with our friends May Britt & Erik who are from Norway. Us ladies went to the Hobbycraft show at the NEC whilst the men went to the Classic car show.

May Britt bought some lovely stamps plus lots of other goodies, things that she can't buy in Norway. She really enjoyed the show.

The weekend went so quickly but we are looking forward to next year when Roger & I are going to visit them in Norway.

Oh dear! I've made this card for the challenge on Secret Crafter following a fabulous sketch by Jill only to realise now that I should have used brown, white & pink.

A Spoon Full Of Sugar

Not really too sure about this card perhaps because it's different from my usual style. This is my entry for the challenge on A Spoon Full Of Sugar ~ sparkle, I've used my sukura glitter pen for the wings but I've just noticed that I've forgotten to add stickles to the hats, I'll make sure I add it later.

The snowflake has been cut using my Cricut Expression, this machine makes cutting shapes so easy.

I've now added the stickles to the hat

Today is Roger's 50th birthday. We celebrated with a party at home with family on Saturday, it was good fun to have everyone together if not a little noisy for our neighbours!

Rock N Roll Edwin....

well that's what I call him!
I've made this card for a work colleague. They say at work that it seems unfair because I always make handmade cards for work colleagues birthdays but when it comes to mine they always have to buy one for me from the card shop. I don't mind it's the thought that counts.
Don't think I'll have much time to make cards or blog until early next week as it's Roger's big 50 and I've a party to organise.
Thanks for looking and have a great weekend

Bad Blogger

I can't believe how long it has been since I've last made a post on my blog. There are several reasons, Poppy had a mishap with the camera's memory card and we had to order a new one. Also we've been busy with getting our house straight after having our new kitchen fitted. Next weekend we are having a 50th birthday party for Roger at home and so that's also taking time to organise everything.

Anyway, I've made a bag from an envelope. I found the instructions on one of the American sites, sorry can't remember which one. This was such good fun to make, I really like Halloween don't know why but I do.

Thanks for looking will be back later with another post.

Bad Blogger

A card, hooray! I've been a bad blogger this week due to not feeling very well and my house still being in chaos from our new kitchen. The kitchen will hopefully be finished soon, it's Roger's 50th birthday in three weekends and we've got a party and a house full of family staying for the weekend, help!
Anyway I did manage to make this card for Poppy to give to Roger for Christmas. I have used the very cute Forever Friends stamps and papers. I have stuck the "world's best Dad" on a strip of acetate and so it bounces.
Hope to add another card later.
